Job description

Responsibilities but not limited to:

  • Lead negotiations with vendors regarding product availability, specifications, distribution logistics, deadlines, and pricing to ensure optimal COGS (Cost of Goods Sold)
  • Continuously evaluate existing and potential suppliers based on product quality, pricing competitiveness, documentation compliance, and shipping reliability
  • Identify and purchase new, trending items to maintain H Mart’s competitive edge in the market
  • Perform regular market analysis and competitive shopping to stay ahead of consumer trends
  • Analyze sales trends to identify "the next big hit" and coordinate marketing efforts for new arrivals
  • Investigate and provide timely responses to inventory or product issues reported from the field/stores
  • Generate and review daily/weekly sales reports to monitor performance and profitability at the warehouse level
  • Create and maintain accurate Item Master Data in SAP, including Item Descriptions, Scan Codes (UPC), and pricing
  • Analyze data to identify slow-moving items and implement strategies to improve warehouse turnover

Qualifications / Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field
  • 1–3 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or SCM (preferably in the retail or food industry)
  • Proficiency in SAP (Item Master, PO creation) is highly preferred
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP) for data analysis
  • Detail-oriented, strong negotiation skills, and a proactive mindset for trend spotting
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Korean is often preferred for vendor communication
