Position Overview:
As our Project Manager, you will lead complex component projects from initiation through completion, ensuring they are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. You will coordinate cross-functional teams, manage project risks, oversee project costs, and build strong relationships with customers and external partners. Working closely with senior leadership, you will provide regular project updates, resolve commercial issues, and drive successful project execution while meeting customer and business objectives.

Your Day to Day as our Project Manager:     

  • Lead complex nuclear component projects from initiation through close-out, ensuring safety, quality, schedule, budget, and customer expectations are achieved.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive project plans, including scope, schedules, budgets, resource requirements, risk mitigation, and project controls.
  • Provide leadership to cross-functional teams, including engineering, manufacturing, quality, planning, operations, and subcontractors, to drive successful project execution.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, building strong relationships through regular communication, technical discussions, progress reporting, and issue resolution.
  • Monitor project performance using key metrics, proactively managing risks, changes, technical challenges, and commercial issues to keep projects on track.
  • Manage project financial performance, including forecasting, cost control, billing, invoicing, and contractual change management.
  • Oversee subcontractor activities to ensure work is completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with technical and contractual requirements.
  • Lead project meetings, design reviews, shop readiness reviews, and project close-out activities to ensure successful delivery and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to resolve complex technical and operational challenges while maintaining compliance with customer, regulatory, and quality requirements.
  • Contribute to business growth by identifying opportunities to strengthen customer partnerships and improve project execution through lessons learned and best practices.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 12+ years of project management experience, preferably within complex manufacturing, nuclear, or other highly regulated industries.
  • Demonstrated experience managing customer contracts and building strong relationships with sophisticated clients.
  • Strong understanding of project financials, including budgeting, forecasting, cost control, and profitability.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, solve complex problems, and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong technical aptitude with experience leading multidisciplinary teams and delivering complex projects successfully.
  • Willingness to travel up to 10% as required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
  • Experience in the nuclear energy or power generation industry.
  • Proficiency in Oracle Primavera P6 and Microsoft Excel.

The base salary range for this position in Ontario at the start of employment is expected to be between $116,000 and $162,000 per year. Subject to these considerations, the total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, such as an annual cash incentive in addition to a full range of medical, retirement, and/or other benefits.
