Project Coordinator

Location: Pascagoula, MS

Employment Type: Full-Time

Experience Required: 2-5 Years

Position Summary

B&D Contracting is seeking an experienced Project Coordinator to oversee daily production activities, supervise assigned personnel, and ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, on schedule, and according to quality requirements.

The Project Superintendent will review production drawings and specifications, coordinate staffing and work assignments, monitor material and equipment needs, and work closely with department heads, foremen, and quality control personnel. The ideal candidate must have strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills and be capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced production or shipyard environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities


  • Ensure all company safety programs, policies, and procedures are followed.
  • Assist foremen with conducting safety meetings.
  • Review blueprints, production drawings, and project specifications.
  • Determine production requirements, equipment needs, materials, staffing, and work procedures.
  • Coordinate employee work assignments with department heads and foremen.
  • Provide direction and instruction to employees to ensure work is completed properly and efficiently.
  • Monitor daily production progress and address delays or operational concerns.
  • Request additional materials, equipment, and manpower as needed.
  • Coordinate with quality control management to ensure work meets company standards and project specifications.
  • Develop work plans based on project start dates, completion deadlines, and staffing requirements.
  • Communicate project expectations and production goals to assigned teams.
  • Complete additional duties as requested by management.
  • Work overtime as required.
  • Report to work daily, on time, and prepared to perform assigned duties.
