JOB SUMMARY
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Summer Project Assistant to support initiatives that enhance how our community bank serves customers and operates efficiently.
In a smaller, relationship-focused banking environment, this role provides broad exposure across departments and a unique opportunity to contribute to meaningful projects that directly impact employees, customers, and the community. The selected candidate will assist with process improvements, technology adoption, and operational enhancements that help us modernize while maintaining our personalized approach to banking.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Assist with the coordination and execution of SharePoint and MS Application projects.
  • Partner with team members across departments (Retail, Lending, Operations, HR, etc.) to understand workflows and identify opportunities for improvement
  • Help improve current processes and recommend efficiencies, automation, or simplification opportunities
  • Support implementation of new tools, systems, or workflow improvements
  • Analyze basic operational or customer data to identify trends and opportunities
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas to improve employee and customer experiences
  • Ensure all work aligns with internal policies, procedures, and regulatory expectations

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program (Business, Finance, Information Systems, or related field preferred)
  • Interest in community banking, customer experience, and operational efficiency
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Effective communication skills and a willingness to ask questions and learn
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a collaborative, team-oriented environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); familiarity with Teams or SharePoint is a plus
  • Interest in process improvement or continuous improvement concepts, preferred
  • Basic data analysis or reporting experience, preferred
  • Curiosity about how technology supports small business operations, preferred
  • Exposure to project coordination or teamwork-based assignments, preferred
