Worship Leader


Position Summary:


At Progressive Community Church, our heart is to win souls for Christ, equip believers through sound biblical teaching, and demonstrate God’s love by meeting the needs of our community. Our mission is centered on life transformation, spiritual growth through meaningful worship, fellowship, and serving as an active, welcoming pillar within the community. Progressive Community Church is seeking a passionate and spiritually mature Worship Leader to lead our congregation in meaningful and transformative worship experiences. This individual will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and leading worship services, as well as providing oversight and vision for all aspects of the worship arts department. The ideal candidate will bring musical excellence, strong leadership, and a genuine heart for ministry.

In this position you will:

·         Plan, organize, and lead worship services that are vibrant, engaging, and spiritually enriching.

·         Select music that aligns with the church’s vision and theological stance, incorporating a blend of contemporary and traditional styles.

·         Recruit, train, and mentor volunteer musicians, vocalists, and media team members.

·         Conduct regular rehearsals and provide ongoing coaching and support to the worship team and choir(s).

·         Foster a collaborative and encouraging environment that promotes spiritual growth and musical excellence.

·         Collaborate with the Senior Pastor and other church leaders to plan thematic and seasonal worship services.

·         Prepare and distribute worship service outlines, music sheets, and other necessary materials, as needed.

·         Coordinate with audio, video, and lighting teams to ensure high-quality media production.

·         Manage the worship ministry budget, including expenses for music, instruments, and equipment.

Must Haves:

•                    3 years minimum experience in leading worship in a church setting.

•                    Experience in developing and directing volunteer teams in a multi-generational span.

•                    Experience managing all components of musical ministry including praise & worship, choirs and special events.

•                    Deep, personal relationship with Jesus Christ and a strong sense of calling to worship ministry.

•                    Proficiency in playing a keyboard and other instruments commonly used in worship.

•                    Ability to sing and teach vocal parts to both experienced and in experienced singers.

•                    Strong leadership, organization, and communication skills.

•                    Ability to work collaboratively with church staff and volunteers.

Compensation

•                    $70,000.00 - $90,000.00 – Annual Salary

•                    Relocation assistance available for out of area selected candidate.

•                    Full medical & dental coverage for individual and family covered by employer.

•                    Retirement contribution after one year of employment.

•                    Life Insurance after one year of employment.
