Family Ministries Director
Position Summary
The Family Ministries Director provides vision, leadership, and pastoral care for the church's family ministries, equipping leaders and creating a pathway for spiritual growth from childhood through young adulthood. This role develops healthy ministry teams, supports volunteers, and partners with parents to help every generation know Christ, grow in their faith, and live on mission.
Reports To
Lead Pastor
Primary Responsibilities
Leadership & Vision
  • Develop and implement a unified vision for Family Ministries that aligns with the church's mission and values.
  • Lead, coach, and support ministry leaders across all family ministry areas.
  • Recruit, train, and empower volunteers to serve effectively.
  • Foster an environment of discipleship, excellence, and spiritual growth.

Ministry Oversight
Provide leadership and oversight for:
  • Kids Ministry
  • Youth Ministry
  • Young Adults Ministry
  • Additional ministries as assigned

Leadership Oversight
  • Conduct monthly one-on-one check-ins with each ministry team leader to provide encouragement, accountability, coaching, and ministry support.
  • Pray regularly with or for ministry leaders and encourage their personal spiritual growth.
  • Help leaders identify goals, celebrate wins, and navigate ministry challenges.
  • Equip leaders with resources, training, and opportunities for continued development.

Planning & Administration
  • Develop ministry calendars and annual goals.
  • Oversee ministry budgets and resource allocation.
  • Maintain safety policies and volunteer screening procedures.
  • Coordinate ministry events, camps, retreats, and outreach opportunities.

Collaboration
  • Work closely with church staff and ministry leaders to create seamless transitions between Kids, Youth, and Young Adults ministries.
  • Participate in staff meetings and church-wide planning.
  • Support the overall vision and mission of the church.

We are asking:
  • Check in with the Young Adults Director, Youth Director, and Kids Director one time per month.
  • Bring spiritual oversight to each ministry area.
