Job description

Student Ministry Director

Position Summary

The Student Ministry Director provides leadership for the church's ministry of middle and high school students (6th-12th grade) by fostering spiritual growth, building relationships, equipping leaders, and creating opportunities for students to grow as disciples of Jesus Christ.


Reports To

Lead Pastor & Family Ministries Director


Primary Responsibilities

Spiritual Leadership

  • Provide biblical teaching, discipleship, and spiritual guidance for students.
  • Lead students toward a growing relationship with Jesus Christ.


Ministry Development

  • Plan and oversee youth services, small groups, events, camps, retreats, and outreach opportunities.
  • Create a welcoming environment that encourages student participation and growth.


Leadership & Administration

  • Recruit, train, and support volunteer leaders.
  • Manage ministry communication, scheduling, budget, and resources.


Pastoral Care

  • Build meaningful relationships with students and families.
  • Provide encouragement, mentoring, and pastoral support as needed.


Church Collaboration

  • Work closely with church staff and volunteers to support the mission and vision of the church.
  • Participate in church-wide events and leadership meetings.


Expectations

  • Model a Christ-centered life marked by integrity, humility, and servant leadership.
  • Support the church's mission, values, and statement of faith.
  • Maintain flexibility for evening, weekend, and special ministry events.
  • Pursue ongoing personal and spiritual growth.


We are asking:

  • Plan and prepare for Sunday Morning Youth meetings 2x per month
  • Plan & prepare 2 youth community gatherings per month
  • Go to camp with Students
