NextGen/Family Ministry Director – Kalamazoo

The River Church in downtown Kalamazoo is seeking a NextGen/Family Ministry Director to provide strategic oversight for all Next Gen ministries from birth through 12th grade. This leader will build a cohesive discipleship pathway from the nursery through high school graduation, develop a healthy volunteer pipeline across River Kids and River Students, and partner with parents as the primary spiritual leaders in their homes. Student ministry at The River is essentially a fresh start. This is a builder’s role for someone ready to shape what NextGen becomes. The right person is a systems thinker who genuinely loves being with kids, teenagers, and families, and who thrives in a grace-centered, non-performance culture.
