DescriptionCareer Details:We are seeking a passionate Cognitive Program Trainer to promote and coordinate training opportunities for agency employees. This classification will conduct/facilitate training sessions in identified areas independently and according to published training calendar. Essential functions of your position will include but are not limited to:
- Maintaining staff training records utilizing computer database.
- Utlilizing e-learning platform to schedule trainings as well as record attendance.
- Planning and coordinating workshops and seminars facilitated by external community and business partners in order to ensure a variety of topics are provided for the benefit of employees at all levels of the agency.
- Promoting the Training on Wheels program (e.g., attending facility staff meetings, and discuss pre-determined topics, as requested by facility management) at all facilities on a monthly or quarterly schedule.
- Promoting and marketing Alvis training programs with external social service agencies; assisting with training sessions at conferences, workshops and seminars.
- Developing and maintaining effective communication tools to ensure timely notice of upcoming training and certifications.
- Independently facilitating in-service training in assigned areas.
- Assisting in ensuring preparation and proper set up for internal and/or external training sessions.
- Produce quarterly training statistics for all employees (e.g., hours credited, remaining balance of required training hours); produce training hour summaries for managers with supervisory responsibilities (e.g., training sessions scheduled but not attended, on-the-job checklist).
- Organizing and maintaining all training related information and statistics for ACA outcome measures, maintaining audit readiness for DRC, BOP, CARF and all other accrediting bodies.
- Performing other related duties as assigned.
RequirementsEducation: Associate's degree in adult education, workforce planning & development, social work or related field. Bachelor's degree in adult education, workforce planning & development, social work or related field is preferred.
Experience: Six (6) months' experience in employee training and/or facilitation or one (1) year of direct service experience in Corrections Service Line.
Required License, Certification, Association: Instructor credentials as required to facilitate assigned training (e.g., First Aid/CPR Trainer)
MUST HAVE A VALID DRIVER'S LICENSE
Skills and Abilities:Computer Skills: Proficient in all Microsoft office applications and skilled in operation of personal computer, peripheral equipment (e.g., copier, fax, printers).
