The Receiving and Data Storage Section (RDSS) is seeking a motivated and detail oriented Tax Program Technician II (TPT II) to support high volume document, payment, and workflow processing across multiple teams. In this role, you will help ensure returns, correspondence, and payments move accurately and efficiently through RDSS operations by monitoring workflows, identifying and troubleshooting procedural or system issues, communicating concerns to support teams, reviewing work for accuracy, assisting with updates to procedures and forms, supporting complex account processing, and gathering operational data that contributes to planning and resource decisions.
The TPT II will collaborate closely with internal customers and business areas throughout the department, gaining exposure to a wide range of operational functions. The position is expected to attend meetings, communicate workflow or system updates, and serve as a point of contact for RDSS by gathering information and summarizing key issues and recommendations for management.
The TPT II is expected to work independently, exercise sound judgment, adapt to shifting priorities, and consistently meet deadlines while maintaining clear, professional communication.
Physical Requirements:
* Ability to move/lift block of returns (5-20 lbs.)
* Ability to transport or move trays of vouchers (5-15 lbs.)
* Ability to transport or move trucks of returns (45-135 lbs.)
* Ability to bend, sit, stand, and be mobile
* Ability to sit or stand at a work station for long periods of time
