Physician and Surgeon, CF (IM/FP), California Medical Facility, Psychiatric Inpatient Program (CMF-PIP)

Classification: PHYSICIAN AND SURGEON, CORRECTIONAL FACILITY (INTERNAL MED/FAMILY PRACTICE)

Location: California Medical Facility, Psychiatric Inpatient Program (CMF-PIP), Vacaville, CA

Number of Positions: Multiple

Job Type: Permanent, Full Time

Pay: $26,677.00 - $29,640.00 per Month (New to State candidates will be hired at the minimum salary or minimum of alternate range)

Telework: In Office

Responsibilities
  • Provide medical care to patients in a correctional facility.
  • Perform medical assessments and provide treatment for assigned patients.
  • Adhere to Department policies, procedures, and clinical guidelines.
  • Provide clinical consultation and support to Advanced Practice Providers.
  • Instruct nursing and other clinical staff on medical protocols.
  • Maintain professional medical standards of care.
  • Serve on call duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements
  • Valid license to practice medicine in California (Medical Board of California or California Board of Osteopathic Examiners).
  • Valid certificate issued by an American Medical Specialty Board or an American Osteopathic Board as a specialist in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine, or eligibility to take the specialty examination.
  • Compliance with all minimum qualifications as outlined in the Classification Specification (SPB Rule 250).
Working Conditions
  • Travel may be required.
  • Work on call responsibilities.
