The Program Support Specialist 1 is responsible for providing day-to-day project support for project managers, engineers, and other staff members. This person will learn firsthand about project phases, tasks, activities, schedules, and operations.
Responsibilities
  • Work and collaborate with Program Management personnel on matters of business and contractual nature, such as preparation and monitoring of project deliverables and contractual documentation; preparation and monitoring and project reporting.
  • Maintain contractual, proposal, and project documentation including contract repositories.
  • Prepare, track, and file documentation for employee permits, security, certification, access, and travel requests.

  • Ensure compliance with contract requirements and performs all other position related duties as assigned.
  • Perform responsibilities as focal point for ongoing issue resolution, including commercial and federal compliance (terms and conditions), acceptance, and payment issues.
  • Complete and track project deliverables required for technical installation, such as inventory reports, quality assurance test forms, daily status reports, disposition reports, etc.
  • Create and modify material lists, prepare shipping documentation, and track material throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Consolidate purchases, shipments, and deliveries, develop a transparent system of tracking and expediting deliveries.
  • Work and collaborate with management and engineering personnel to ensure timely and accurate procurement and shipment of equipment and materials.
  • Research part numbers, manufacturers, product specifications.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with vendors.

Qualifications
  • High School Diploma with 6+ years of experience or
  • 4+ with an Associates degree or
  • 0+ years of experience with a Bachelors degree.
  • Accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and resolve practical problems.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to deal effectively and tactfully with a wide variety of individuals in person, via telephone and in writing.
  • Must have strong multitasking skills.
  • Must have strong computer skills in word processing, spreadsheets, interaction with customer portals.
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Office Suite; knowledge of MS SharePoint.
  • Federal / DoD contract experience is beneficial.
  • This position may require travel
