Job Description:ย 

We are seeking a results-driven Program Manager to lead and oversee all phases of program execution-from inception to delivery-within our Airborne Integrated Systems (SAIS) business in Herndon, Virginia.ย You will be responsible for the cost, schedule and technical performance management of the program while achieving key business results (revenue recognition, operating income, free cash flow) and customer satisfaction.ย  You will have experience applying Earned Value Management (EVM) to development and/or production programs.ย  You demonstrate team building, leadership, and communication skills by building relationships of trust with their teams, customers, peers, and leadership, and to effectively communicate with confidence including regular presentations and status updates to leadership.

The qualified candidate must be able to:

  • Set goals and empower individuals to take ownership for their assignments.
  • Assist leadership in identifying program growth opportunities in addition to facilitating capture of new opportunities with customers.
  • Have strong and effective verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills that will facilitate in creating and maintaining a collaborative work environment which includes providing decisive and constructive feedback.

Essential Functions:

ย 

  • Directs all phases of programs from inception through completion
  • Drives program execution in order to achieve key business and financial objectives for orders, revenue recognition, operating income, and free cash flow for new, continuing, or current programs
  • Responsible for the cost, schedule and technical performance of the program
  • Manages the program using Earned Value Management (EVM)
  • Participates in the negotiation of contract and contract changes
  • Coordinates the preparation of proposals, business plans, performance Statement of Work (SOW) and specifications, operating budgets and financial terms/conditions of contract
  • Acts as primary customer contact for program activities, leading program review sessions with customer to discuss cost, schedule, and technical performance
  • Expands the product line with the customer. Establishes milestones and monitors adherence to master plans and schedules, identifies program problems and obtains solutions, such as allocating resources or changing contractual specifications
  • Directs the work of employees assigned to the program from technical, manufacturing and administrative areas
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree and minimum 9 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 13 years of prior related experience.
  • Experience leading a highly visible and fast paced program
  • Experience with ITAR/EAR regulations
  • Active Secret Clearance

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Prior experience as a Program Manager to international customer and / or major prime contractor
  • PMP Certification

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in California, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Washington State, DC and Virginia (Greater D.C. area), Denver, or NYC areas is $127K-$236K.ย  ย The salary range for this role in Colorado state, Hawaii, Illinois, Maine, Maryland, Minnesota, New York state, Cleveland Ohio, Vermont and Virginia (outside of Greater D.C. area) is $110K-$205K. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
