Job description

SNC's Military Fellowship Program partners with programs such as SkillBridge and Hiring Our Heroes to provide fellowship opportunities to service members transitioning to the civilian workforce. These fellowships include up to six months of on-the-job industry training for eligible service members. During this time, participants gain valuable work experience in the civilian sector and build professional networks as they prepare for their transition to full-time civilian work.
NOTE: You must be currently serving on active duty to be eligible for this fellowship program. This program is not for veterans who have already separated from the military.The ISR (Intelligence, Surveillance & Reconnaissance), Aviation, and Security (IAS) business area is a leader in ISR and aviation, it is a leading prime manned and unmanned aircraft systems integrator for innovative, high-performance ISR and aviation systems. Its end-to-end Command, Control, Computers, Communications and Intelligence, Surveillance & Reconnaissance (C4ISR) capabilities encompass design, integration, test, certification, ground/flight training and complete logistics support. IAS tailors solutions to customer cost, performance, and schedule requirements and designs to consistently exceed expectations - with an unrivaled record of on time and on (or under) budget deliveries.

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Currently Serving as ACTIVE DUTY military and be eligible to participate in the DoD SkillBridge program
  • Bachelor's of Science degree in a related field of study
  • Typically, 8+ years of progressive technical experience
  • Knowledge of engineering principles and practice
  • Experience working in multi-disciplinary design and development team
  • Basic understanding of requirements management, system design, integration

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Typically 2-4 years of relevant leadership and/or project management experience
  • Experience leading a multi-disciplinary design and development team and communicating with program management and customers
  • Familiarity with preparation and development of project estimates, technical proposals, and program cost and schedule management
  • Past history of leading baseline definition and maturation in a complex development setting, including the use of highly integrated trade studies and analysis of alternative
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics, parts lists, specifications, instructions and test procedure
  • Professional Certification in Program Management International (PMI) and/or Program Management Professional (PMP
  • Experience or certification in INCOSE standard
  • Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry
