Reading Is Fundamental (RIF), the nation's leading children's literacy nonprofit, is seeking a highly organized and mission-driven Program Coordinator to support literacy programs that impact children and communities across the country. This role serves as a key connection between RIF and its nationwide network of literacy advocates, helping ensure successful program implementation, outstanding partner support, and measurable community impact.

As a Program Coordinator, you will support RIF's literacy initiatives by providing exceptional customer service to local program partners, maintaining accurate program data, coordinating book distributions, and assisting with day-to-day program operations. You will work closely with schools, childcare centers, nonprofits, and internal teams to ensure programs run smoothly and effectively.

Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for program-related inquiries and coordinate with internal teams to ensure timely resolution.
  • Research, recruit, and engage schools, childcare centers, and youth-serving organizations to participate in RIF literacy programs.
  • Support local literacy advocates by providing guidance on program implementation and assisting with access to RIF resources and the RIF Bookstore.
  • Coordinate book orders and monitor timelines to ensure successful program delivery.
  • Maintain accurate records and program data in Salesforce, documenting interactions, updates, and activities.
  • Upload, track, and manage administrative forms, grant documentation, impact stories, and activity reports.
  • Serve as RIF's in-house book inventory coordinator by conducting quarterly inventory reviews and maintaining library resources.
  • Coordinate receipt, tracking, and distribution of donated books to communities in need.
  • Support literacy events and initiatives through occasional travel to program sites nationwide.
  • Assist with additional projects and administrative duties as needed.
Qualifications

Preferred Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Education, Nonprofit Management, Communications, Public Administration, or a related field.
  • Experience supporting programs, community engagement initiatives, nonprofit operations, or customer service functions is preferred.

  • Strong organizational and time management skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
