The Opportunity
We're seeking a collaborative, detail-oriented Learning & Development Specialist to support BMSS's internal training programs, firmwide learning initiatives, and professional development efforts. Working closely with the L&D Manager and HR team, you'll help bring learning experiences to life through exceptional coordination, content development, and operational execution. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys managing multiple projects, creating polished deliverables, leveraging technology to improve processes, and helping employees grow through engaging learning experiences.
What You'll Do
Program Coordination & Event Execution
  • Coordinate internal training programs, firmwide learning events, and leadership development initiatives, including the BMSS NextGen Program.
  • Manage logistics including Zoom/Teams/LMS setup, room scheduling, participant communications, attendance tracking, and training materials.
  • Partner with presenters and subject matter experts to prepare learning objectives, handouts, and session content.
  • Manage post-training surveys, reporting, feedback summaries, and training records.

Content Development & Instructional Design
  • Create and maintain eLearning content and convert instructor-led training into on-demand learning assets.
  • Develop facilitator guides, job aids, agendas, process documentation, certificates, and communications.
  • Translate technical content into clear, engaging learning materials for employees across the firm.
  • Ensure all materials align with BMSS brand standards for quality, tone, and consistency.

AI Tools & Process Innovation
  • Support adoption of AI-powered tools that improve learning efficiency and employee experience.
  • Assist with AI-assisted learning tools, workflow automation, and digital learning assets.
  • Document and improve repeatable L&D processes, templates, and best practices.
What We're Looking For
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Communications, English, Education, Instructional Design, or a related field preferred.
  • 1-3 years of experience in learning & development, instructional design, communications, or administrative coordination.
  • Excellent writing, proofreading, and editing skills.
  • Strong project management and organizational abilities.
  • Ability to simplify complex information for diverse audiences.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365 tools.
  • Experience with LMS platforms, Articulate/Rise, or similar eLearning tools preferred.
  • Exposure to AI tools and workflow automation is a plus.
  • Professional services experience preferred.
