Job description

Position Summary: 

Responsible for placing needed search work with commercial vendors, reviewing purchase agreements, track orders, opening new title orders and review when received to advance to a Title Examiner. Ensures that performance of all duties in accordance with the company’s policies and procedures, all U.W. state and federal laws and regulations, wherein the company operates.

 
Responsibilities:
  • Review order files, identifies and request documents needed.
  • Track and manage documents including recorded documents, trailing documents due post close. 
  • Handles preparation of wires, preparing Closing Disclosures per directions and recording of documents. 
  • Ability to meet deadlines independently while ensuring client satisfaction. 
  • Verifies liens, updates lien releases/taxes and other information as needed. 
  • Correspond with lenders, borrowers, and or individuals/entities as directed by Director or Title Examiners.
  • Review owner/loan policies for accuracy and escrow letter requirements before distributing to clients.
  • Organize and audit the files after closing for return of recorded documents, excess funds collected, follow-up for release documents.
  • Prepares ALTA Settlement Statements in accordance with Client’s instructions and wires funds.
  • Can review, prepare recording fee calculations, and record courtesy documents packages from clients.
  • Assist in resolution of issues related to orders, closings, funding, and any other category of work done in the commercial group with minimal assistance from department lead and/or management.
  • Cross train with Team Lead to build relationships and skill sets that result in efficiencies for the department; serves as back-up as needed. 
  • Performs other duties and projects as assigned
Requirements:
  • Experience in the Mortgage industry
  • Mortgage title experience preferred.
  • Ramquest production system knowledge preferred.
  • Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office applications including but not limited to: Excel and Powerpoint.
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred.

Base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay for this role is between $23.08/hr and $36.30/hr. Your base pay will depend on multiple individualized factors, including your job-related knowledge/skills, qualifications, experience, and market location.
