Part-Time Closing Bartender – Craft Cocktail Bar

Frida’s & Bonito Bar | St. Louis, MO

Part-Time | Weekend Availability Required

Job Summary

Frida’s and Bonito Bar is seeking an experienced Part-Time Closing Bartender to join our front-of-house team. This role is responsible for managing the bar during evening service, preparing cocktails for both bar guests and the dining room, and ensuring the bar closes smoothly at the end of the night.

This is a high-volume bartending position that requires strong organization, speed, and attention to detail. The bartender will manage a 12-seat bar while simultaneously serving as the service bartender for the entire restaurant, preparing drinks for servers and supporting overall service flow.

The ideal candidate is confident behind the bar, comfortable leading during closing shifts, and able to maintain high standards of hospitality while working efficiently during busy service periods.

This position may also expand into full-time hours through additional bartending or serving shifts depending on availability and performance.

Key ResponsibilitiesBartending & Guest Service

• Prepare and serve cocktails, beer, wine, and other beverages accurately and efficiently

• Serve guests seated at the bar while maintaining attentive hospitality

• Take food orders for bar guests and coordinate with the kitchen team

• Maintain a welcoming and engaging atmosphere at the bar

Service Bar Operations

• Prepare drinks for the entire restaurant during service

• Communicate with servers to ensure drink orders are accurate and timely

• Maintain strong service flow between the bar, servers, and kitchen

Bar Operations & Organization

• Manage bar inventory and assist with nightly restocking

• Maintain cleanliness and organization behind the bar

• Ensure bar tools, glassware, and ingredients remain stocked during service

Closing Responsibilities

• Complete bar closing procedures and ensure the bar is properly cleaned and reset

• Maintain sanitation and safety standards throughout the shift

• Assist with end-of-night operational tasks as needed


Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of bartending experience in a restaurant or bar environment

• At least 1 year of supervisory or shift leadership experience preferred

• Knowledge of classic cocktails and craft beverage preparation

• Ability to work efficiently in a high-volume service environment

• Friendly, engaging personality with strong hospitality skills

• Ability to multitask while maintaining drink quality and service standards
