WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:
Located at our Byron Center, MI location, the Production Support role collaborates with our warehouse team and oversees material receipts and storage, order preparation, and delivery of material. Day-to-day responsibilities include:
  • Modeling Lumbermen's core values
  • Coordinating and customer returns in a timely manner
  • Coordinating Vendor returns in a timely manner
  • Approaching work each day with a positive attitude
  • Developing and maintaining a working knowledge of production operations and needs
  • Properly managing the inventory from vendor and customer returns
  • Managing and restocking production with Production Expense Items
  • Having a "customer first" mindset and mentality
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Problem solving when there are issue within the process
  • Leading 5S efforts to create a visual place for everything
  • Assisting the team as needed
  • Performing other tasks/duties as requested by the Prep Supervisor

KEY QUALIFICIATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
  • High School diploma/GED required
  • 1-3 years' warehousing experience including shipping and receiving experience
  • Commitment to safety and adherence to policies as a top priority
  • Able to lead by example and lead others to success
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Experience with Agility and WMS
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Word, Excel)
  • Able to reach, grasp, bend, and stoop
  • Able to be on feet 8 hours per day
  • Able to lift up to 75 lbs. repetitively/continuously
