Job Description

The Production Support Managerย is responsible forย overseeing andย optimizingย the efficient flow of goods, materials, and resources to support production activities. This includes planning, implementing, and controlling the movement and storage of products from receipt from vendors to shipment of completed goods. The goal is to ensure production flow by stocking,ย managingย andย anticipatingย the needs of production to produce product on time and to the highest quality.โ€ฏโ€ฏย 

Accountabilities:

  • Ensures the teamย receivesย all materials bothย purchasedย by procurement as well as owner supplier materials.โ€ฏ This includes components, gear, raw materials (steel/copper), and consumables.โ€ฏย 
  • Responsible for team toย assistย with the flow of materials from inventory to the production floor, including regular restocking of all consumable and project components.โ€ฏย 
  • Responsible for the team to create all labels, wire markers, mimic bus, and other identification plates for all production activities.โ€ฏโ€ฏโ€ฏย 
  • Responsible for participation in all daily and regular production meetings.โ€ฏโ€ฏโ€ฏย 
  • Responsible for control andย logisticsย of sheet metal and copper parts onceย completeย in the metal fabrication shop.โ€ฏ This includes tracking to and from powder coating as well as internal and between production facilities.โ€ฏย 
  • Responsible for shipping and receivingย logisticsย including inspection of items received and packaging of items for shipment as well as coordination of shipping details.โ€ฏย 
  • Responsible for schedule inventory cycle counting and quarterly inventory.โ€ฏ Provide reports and work alongside Procurement/Inventory team to ensure product can be properly counted.โ€ฏโ€ฏโ€ฏย 
  • Responsible for working alongsideย Productionย Floor Team and Production Testing Team on the management of all documentation related to production.โ€ฏ Ensure all documentation is returned at the completion of any project for proper digital records.โ€ฏโ€ฏโ€ฏย 
  • Transport material throughout warehouse with forklift ensuring safety protocols.โ€ฏย 
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards.โ€ฏย 
  • Performs other duties as assigned.โ€ฏย 
Qualifications

Required Knowledge/Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.โ€ฏย 
  • 5+ years of experience inย logisticsย management.โ€ฏย 
  • Satisfactory completion ofย additionalย background screening

Work Environment and Physical Demandsโ€ฏย ย 

  • This is a FLSA non-exempt position paid on an hourly basis. Overtime may beโ€ฏrequiredโ€ฏbased on production demands, including extended shifts, weekends, or holidays.โ€ฏย 
  • This role is based on the production floor. The position requires standing for extended periods, working around machinery, and adherence to all safety and compliance standards.โ€ฏย 
  • Mobility: Ability to move around the manufacturing plant, including walking, standing, and climbing stairs.ย ย 
  • Manual Dexterity: Occasional use of hands to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls.ย ย 
  • Lifting: Ability to lift and carry items up toย fiftyย (50) pounds. All lifting should be done following OSHA standards.ย ย 
  • Visual and Auditory Requirements: Must be able to see and hear well enough to navigate the plant safely and communicate effectively with team members.ย ย
