Job description

JOB SUMMARY

The Production Operations Manager is responsible for all production operations across multiple facilities, monitoring plant safety, quality, and line efficiency.

DUTIES AND ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
  • Oversee all production employees and temporary staff
  • Plan jobs and labor based on priority level
  • Generate revenue and labor reports in inventory warehouse management system and make any adjustments to labor as needed to meet production goals
  • Communicate to staffing agencies daily to plan labor for the following day
  • Ability to understand and read job specifications
  • Coordinate set ups and break downs of production lines
  • Monitor plant efficiency using lean methodologies
  • Assign jobs to Leads
  • Coach and train Leads to understand production goals and labor needs
  • Conduct training and support for Leads and other production staff in inventory warehouse management system
  • Comply with company policies, procedures, and safety rules
  • Must have good English written and verbal communication skills
  • Good arithmetic skills are required
  • General proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule if necessary
  • Attendance is an essential function of the role

Minimum Required

  • High School Diploma or equivalent or combination of education and experience.
