JOB SUMMARY:

The Manager of Product Operations runs the vacation package operations for both Universal Orlando Resort and Universal Studios Hollywood, in addition to overseeing the configuration for ticket only sales. This role is responsible for ensuring that vacation packages and all ancillary products are built with excellence and operate correctly across all distribution systems (online, call center and travel agencies). Responsibilities include leading technology enhancements with the vendor, building and maintaining vacation packages & products, team leadership, project management and optimizing the customer/agent experience.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage product development cycles to ensure successful product release (this includes actively participating in the product build work and communication to partners on status and/or additional business inputs needed).
  • Lead a team of product analysts (managing their workload, helping them troubleshoot issues and supporting their career & knowledge development).
  • Provide technical support for the Call Center, Operations, Guest Services, Finance, Accounts Payable to resolve day-to-day system issues.
  • Reviews documentation handed off by Internal Partners for provisions, terms and conditions and implements into database.
  • Participates in defining requirements for future technology enhancements, partnering with the vendor for business testing and implementation.
  • Understand and actively participate in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training, and team member involvement activities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor's degree is preferred in Business Administration or Information Systems.

EXPERIENCE:

  • Required 5+ years: Product Development; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

  • Strong project management, trafficking, and organizational skills, with high attention to detail; proven ability to prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Practical knowledge of building products in a commerce engine.
  • Excellent client service and problem-solving skills, able to identify and anticipate both opportunities and problems and drive them to resolution.
  • Prior experience leading a team is preferred.
  • Goal-oriented, self-motivated, creative, flexible and adaptable to new situations.
  • Extensive computer knowledge and proficiency in business software applications.
  • Superior communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to develop presentations and present concepts and/or business recommendations clearly.
