Job description

Position: Production Operations Manager

Type: Full Time

Location: Tallahassee, FL (on-site; some domestic travel required)

Pay: From $50,000 annually, based on experience

Start Date: September 15, 2026 (flexibility for the ideal candidate, if needed)

We are reCap.

And we are building the team that will change how America manages organic waste. That might

not sound sexy, but itโ€™s really important.

Partnering with communities, we give leaders a better way to manage organic waste like

branches, leaves, limbs, and clippings. Through our patent-pending process, we produce an

amazing and versatile product called biochar. Biochar helps industries as diverse as agriculture,

construction, energy, and consumer products. It also stably stores greenhouse gasses that

otherwise would have been released and polluted our air.

What most people toss aside as worthless, we keep out of a landfill by turning it into a valuable

product. At the same time, we save local taxpayer dollars and do substantial good for the planet.

reCap is currently building our Third-Generation plant at our flagship production facility in

Tallahassee, FL. Our production operations manager will play a key role in working directly with

reCap leadership on finalizing the buildout and commissioning the new plant in early 2027 and

then in directing and overseeing plant operations. This position provides unparalleled opportunity

for advancement as the company expands.

The Position

Our production operations manager will be a key member of the reCap leadership team,

responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of production, providing guidance and

leadership for our production staff, and working to optimize and standardize procedures as we

grow operations, both in Tallahassee and beyond.

Position Responsibilities:

โ— Manage day-to-day operations, overseeing a production team of 5+ members

โ— Optimize and improve the efficiency of manufacturing and industrial processes

โ— Ensure smooth functioning of production lines and coordinate process improvements

โ— Implement and execute systems to increase operational control and efficiency, including,

but not limited to:

o Screen, hire, and mentor hourly production employees

o Develop maintenance plans and schedules

o Ensure adherence to OSHA and other safety standards

o Identify opportunities for cost reduction and other efficiencies

โ— Maintain communication and coordination with local government leadership partners

โ— Serve as a representative of reCap with community groups, organizations, and the public

โ— Assist with other relevant tasks as needed to ensure overall efficiency and operational

success

Position Requirements:

โ— First and foremost, the ability and willingness to do the job. While we donโ€™t get hung up on

marking checkboxes for specific experience, ability and willingness to do the job are vital

โ— No fear of getting dirty โ€“ literally and figuratively. Weโ€™re an โ€œall-hands-on-deckโ€ operation

โ— Ability to work in an outdoor setting, on your feet, and to lift up to 60 pounds

โ— A general ability to be handy and operate tools

โ— Ability to lead others in a positive, โ€œby exampleโ€ manner

โ— A willingness and openness to learn and to be challenged

โ— Reliable and dependable transportation

โ— An unwavering commitment to the reCap ethos:

o We do well when we do good for ourselves, our investors, our partners and our

communities.

o We are unafraid of challenges, of disrupting or of changing course when warranted.

o We are always ready to learn, especially from mistakes, and to be challenged and

questioned.

o We are honest with and respectful of ourselves and all those with whom we

interact.

o We will continue to evolve and improve because we believe success is never final.

In addition, the ideal candidate will have:

โ— A 2- or 4-year college degree

โ— A minimum of 5-yearsโ€™ experience managing teams and/or developing and deploying

production systems and processes

โ— Ability to operate equipment such as a skid steer, loader, and horizontal grinder

โ— Experience in ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and guidelines

Position benefits:

โ— A competitive salary, commensurate with experience

โ— Discretionary performance bonus and raises

โ— Fringe benefits

โ— Paid on-the-job training

โ— Most weekends and holidays off

โ— Opportunity for professional advancement

โ— Support, guidance and an open line to reCap leadership
