Job description

Our client is seeking an experienced Manager, Contract Administration to support contract administration activities for multiple 20th Television series across both network and streaming platforms. This role will partner closely with Business Affairs, Production, Finance, Talent Representatives, and Guild organizations to ensure accurate contract administration and payment processing for above-the-line talent.
  • Location: Burbank, CA
  • Schedule: Hybrid (Onsite Monday-Thursday, Remote Friday)
  • Pay Rate: $40/hr
  • Duration: 6/22/2026 - 9/30/2026
  • Hours: 40 hours/week
  • Employment Type: Contract | Non-Exempt (OT Eligible)
Responsibilities:
  • Handle and/or assist with contract administration for multiple television series.
  • Set up writer's room payments in accordance with talent agreements and requirements.
  • Communicate with talent representatives regarding payment schedules and related inquiries.
  • Correspond with line producers, production coordinators, and production accountants.
  • Liaise with studio production teams regarding directors, writers, and above-the-line talent schedules and payroll.
  • Manage episodic director deals from negotiation through payment processing.
  • Interpret and administer business affairs agreements, deal points, and entertainment contracts.
  • Assist junior team members with deal memos, worklists, and various guild-related payments.
  • Monitor the status of active series and provide coverage support when necessary.
  • Coordinate with onboarding teams to ensure timely processing of start paperwork for above-the-line talent.
  • Ensure payments comply with guild requirements.
  • Serve as a resource for Business Affairs regarding guild rules and payment questions.
  • Escalate payment, scheduling, and talent-related issues to appropriate departments including Business Affairs, Labor Relations, Production, and Finance.
  • Attend departmental meetings to stay informed of current and upcoming productions.
  • Adapt quickly to changing production schedules and departmental priorities.
Required Qualifications:
  • Experience in Contract Administration, Business Affairs, Entertainment Legal, or a related function.
  • Experience working within a television studio, production company, entertainment organization, or entertainment law firm.
  • Strong understanding of entertainment agreements, contracts, deal points, and legal terminology.
  • Knowledge of guild rules and payment structures.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced production environment.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to build relationships across departments and with external talent representatives.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Experience working with database systems and contract management tools.
  • Experience with BLAST, IDeA, SAP, and/or AirTable.
  • Prior television production or studio experience.
  • Experience handling above-the-line talent agreements and payments.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
