Job description

About Fellow

We believe that the act of making should be meaningful and fulfilling, done with intention and precision. Fellow makes beautifully functional tools for any kitchen, designed in San Francisco and used around the world.
When the simple motions of life become small moments of joy, that's Everyday Magic.
This role is based in our San Francisco, CA office and requires regular in-office presence in accordance with company policy.

Who You Are

Fellow is looking for a Digital Product Manager who is technically fluent and lives at the intersection of code, product thinking, and operational rigor.  This person will own the technical development and product roadmap for our Shopify ecosystem- spanning our DTC site, wholesale portal, in-store POS, and connected app stack, while managing a co-development model with our agency partner. A successful candidate will possess a balance of technical fluency with commercial drive. This is a rare opportunity to shape the product leadership team at a company that is an exciting growth inflection point.
Reporting to the Head of DTC & Growth Marketing, this person will serve as the connective tissue between the business and technology domains as you will write code (Cursor/GitHub PRs), manage sprints in Jira, triage and fix bugs, scope and ship new features and serve as the primary technical voice in vendor conversations.  This is a lean, high-ownership role for someone who is equally comfortable in a codebase and product spec. As the company grows, there will likely be an opportunity to build a team.

What You'll Do

  •     Website & Product Development
    • Own front-end development of the DTC Shopify site in a co-dev model with agency (agile/sprint structure in Jira).
    • Author and review PRs using Cursor; manage code quality and minimize tech debt.
    • Serve as the primary point of contact for the agency vendor relationship - scoping work, managing the partnership, and aligning on delivery.
    • Triage and resolve site bugs as they arise; manage the bug backlog from intake through resolution.
    • Own net-new feature development end-to-end: spec build QA launch.
  •       Wholesale Site Roadmap
    • Lead front-end development of the Wholesale Shopify site
    • Manage the nuanced requirements unique to wholesale
    • Own product catalog data management for international third-party retailers: ensure accurate, timely product data is delivered as new products are launched.
  •       DTC & Wholesale Customization
    • Support the current Cloudlift Product Options implementation powering DTC personalization (engraving and custom wraps)
  •       Shopify Site Ops & Tech Stack
    • Serve as technical owner for Shopify configuration and broader connected app ecosystem
    • Evaluate, onboard, and manage third-party apps, ensure integrations are stable, documented and aligned with business needs.
  •       Legal/DTC Compliance Execution
    • Execute DTC-side compliance items in coordination with legal counsel (Omar, internal; Ian at Sidley Austin, external).
    • Manage privacy policy updates and ADA / accessibility compliance on the DTC site.

Qualifications

  •       Minimum 5-7 years of Product Management/Front-End Web Development Experience
  •       Meaningful hands-on experience with Shopify - theme development (Liquid), Shopify Admin, and the app ecosystem.
  •       Experience working in an agile environment; proficiency with Jira or equivalent sprint management tools.
  •       Comfort with Git-based workflows, PR reviews, and working within a co-development model.
  •       Strong product management instincts: ability to write specs, prioritize a backlog, and move features from idea to launch.
  •       Excellent written communication skills - this role requires clear documentation and vendor correspondence.
  •       Ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously without dropping balls.
Why You'll Love This Role
  •   A creative, fast-moving environment where ideas turn into action
  •   Competitive compensation including employee equity plan
  •   Generous paid time off plan
  •   401k with company contribution after 6 months of employment
  •   Medical/dental/vision insurance
  •   Better Yourself Wellness credit & Better Your Community donation matching
  •   Monthly Fitness Stipend
  •   Summer Fridays
  •   Paid Parental Leave
  •   Generous discount on Fellow products
  •   Best coffee anywhere

The hourly rate range for the contract position is $60 - $80/hr. This is an independent contractor position and is not eligible for employee benefits you may see listed above.
