Job Summary:

Supermicro is seeking an Product Manager who can lead the development and integration of storage related components (RAID/HBA) which uses SAS/SATA/NVMe products for cloud and data center infrastructure. This is a key product management role focused on server/storage product solutions where communication among remote teams and on-site product leadership for our development teams is critical to develop and enable operations to fulfill roadmap expectation. In addition to developing new top-of-the-line systems, product manager is expected to collaborate with marketing and sales departments to promote products and interact with customers directly to sell these products. As a product manager, you will use strong technical and communication skills towards product definition strategy for Supermicro's core product family including research into vertical-based customer solutions and creation of aggressive go-to market plan. Ultimately, Product Manager will become a core member of the Server Product Management team and engage in technical, product development, marketing, and pre/post-sales support activities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Includes the following essential duties and responsibilities (other duties may also be assigned):

* Develop, manage and lead Supermicro storage/server products through the full life cycle

* Define storage products PRD, road map and architecture to excel in the market

* Work with inter-departmental such as engineering, sales, and product managers to ensure the product line and roadmaps are aligning with the overall company objective and goals

* Ensure SMC Storage Design Engineering teams adopt and integrate key storage technologies into Supermicro products and roadmaps

* Develop project plans for Storage products

* Lead and coordinate product release activities for Storage Product

* Coordinate Storage Products Forecast, working with Procurement, Product Managers and Sales teams for monthly reviews

* Lead Storage Product Promotions supporting Sales and Product Managers

* Accountable for total product sold on month-to-month basis

* Help produce roadmap and ensure schedules are aligned with target dates

Qualifications:

* BS/MS Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or relevant technical degree with 3 years relevant work experience

* Server systems architecture knowledge especially with enterprise storage hardware and software, NVMe, RAID, expanders, NAS, SAN, ISCSI, hadoop, I2C and GPIO. M.2 and U.2 devices, and other storage technologies preferred

* Prior design, testing, NPI experience preferred

* Must have Schedule control and Product TTM experience

* Must be able to provide a professional presentation

* Ability to work in team environment as well as independently

* Strong attention to details with excellent communication skills in both written and verbal

Salary Range

$115,000 - $123,000

The salary offered will depend on several factors, including your location, level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience, and comparison to other employees already in this role. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as participation in bonus and equity award programs.
