Principal Product Manager - Licensing Financial and Artificial Intelligence Systems

About the Role & Team

This role sits in the Disney Consumer Products (DCP) - Licensing Technology organization within Disney Experiences (DX), a division of The Walt Disney Company (TWDC). The Principal Product Manager will report to the Senior Manager, Technology.

What You Will Do:

The Principal Product Manager serves as a strategic architect and visionary leader for the Licensing Financial and Artificial Intelligence ecosystems across the global Disney Consumer Products (DCP) segment. This role transcends day-to-day execution to orchestrate multi-year technical roadmaps, driving high-stakes alignment between global executive stakeholders and technology partners to unify business objectives under a singular enterprise vision. As a primary catalyst for innovation, you will lead comprehensive change management frameworks and ecosystem-wide transformations, ensuring the organization is structurally and culturally prepared to leverage next-generation AI platforms and automated financial workflows.

A successful candidate brings a macro-global perspective, architecting scalable solutions that harmonize regional nuances with centralized operational excellence. You will define and evangelize "forward-thinking" technical standards, assessing the long-term feasibility of emerging technologies while ensuring processes are repeatable, high-integrity, and value-driven. Operating as a resilient change agent, you must possess the executive presence to influence at every level-from deep-dive engineering sprints to executive briefings-thriving in a fast-pasted environment where you transform ambiguity into strategic business opportunities.

What You'll Do:

  • Architect Strategic Vision:Define and champion the multi-year strategic vision, overarching strategy, and long-term roadmap for key product portfolios or platform capabilities within Disney Consumer Products (DCP) - Licensing Technology. Influence organizational strategy and investment decisions across DX.

  • Define Ecosystem Success:Define and champion comprehensive success metrics and KPIs for entire product ecosystems, driving a culture of data-driven strategic optimization, experimentation, and continuous improvement at a strategic level.

  • End-to-End Product Ownership and Delivery: Directly lead the full-cycle development of mission-critical DCP products, moving beyond oversight to personally manage ideation, technical requirements, and delivery for the most complex systems to drive business value.

  • Lead Portfolio Prioritization:Lead portfolio-level prioritization efforts, navigating complex trade-offs, managing dependencies across multiple initiatives, and aligning diverse stakeholders to critical strategic outcomes.

  • Cultivate Executive Relationships:Cultivate and leverage executive-level relationships with a broad spectrum of strategic partners including product, engineering, data, design, commercial, and customer support leadership, acting as a trusted advisor and consensus builder.

  • Strategic Governance: Translate complex global finance, revenue accounting, and AI goals into a high-level technology roadmap. You will negotiate priorities among executive stakeholders to ensure a balance between innovation and fiscal integrity.

  • Change Management & Adoption: Orchestrate the global launch and change management plans for next-generation features. You will oversee the creation of training programs to drive product adoption across all regions.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 10 years of progressive Product Management experience, with at least 5+ years at a Senior or Lead Product Manager level driving the end-to-end delivery of complex, enterprise-grade software

  • Proventrack recordofleading the strategy, launch, and scaling of multiple complex products or large-scale platformsthrough multi-year strategic roadmaps thatdeliveredsignificant business impact on a global scale.

  • A minimum of 2 years of direct experience developing and deploying custom AI solutions using LLMs to automate business processes or improve business outcomes in enterprise environments

  • Exceptional ability to translate ambiguous customer and business needs into well-defined, scalable product strategies and actionable documentation.

  • Financial Systems Mastery: Expert-level experience with highly integrated accounting and finance applications (revenue, forecasting, ERP).

  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and negotiation skills, capable of influencing executive stakeholders and technical leadership at all levels of the organization.

  • Strong leadership presencewith the proven ability to mentor, inspire, and lead product managers, influencing without direct authority.

  • Expertisein driving a data-driven culture,utilizinganalytics and experimentation to inform andvalidatestrategic product decisions.

  • Agile Mastery: Expert knowledge of Agile/Scrum; ability to lead cross-functional projects and teams in a rapidly changing environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Domain Expertise: Deep understanding of the Licensing and Consumer Products industry

  • Master's degree or relevant professional certificationsare a strongplus.

Education:

  • BS/BA in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related technical field.

The hiring range for this position in Glendale, California is $188,400 to $252,600 per year and in Orlando, FL is $179,500 to $240,600per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
