Job description

Description

PURPOSE OF JOB:

To interpret, quote and develop wire harness production documentation from detailed drawings and customer input by applying established harness design standards and practices


ESSENTIAL DUTIES: 

Review customer drawings for technical issues and provide solutions

Interpret and establish all costs associated with customer's harness design

Source and investigate pricing and availability of new materials

Create quotes for new and existing customers that satisfy the customer's needs 

Create drawings, From-To, using internal software based on customer designs

Create materials and templates in JobBoss as needed

Maintain a rapport with the customer through the design process and make adjustments as needed

Communicate requirements to the production team using official Handoff template to confirm and resolve issues with final harness designs 

Manage Part Approval process

Maintain accurate paperwork and job files electronically and physically to facilitate smooth transition of information

Adhere to ISO requirements related to the job area

Perform other duties reasonably related to the position  


Requirements

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

High School Diploma (or GED or High School Equivalence Certificate) 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: 

Ability to troubleshoot 

Strong communication skills both verbal and written

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Broad/strong knowledge of product line and pricing

Strong working knowledge of PC and Microsoft Office 

Customer service minded

Read and understand written sentences in work related documents

Speak and write effectively to convey information

Able to manage one's own workload for maximum efficiency while maintaining quality

Attendance percentage of at least 96%

Cooperate with coworkers and management

Able to work independently with minimal direction

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORKING CONDITIONS:

20/20 vision with correction

Must be able to differentiate between red and green colors
