Job description

Our customer in Adams County, IN is looking for a hands-on Product Development Engineer to support the design and improvement of industrial mechanical products used in manufacturing and automation environments.

Responsibilities

  • Design and improve industrial mechanical products and assemblies
  • Create and maintain 3D CAD models, drawings, BOMs, and engineering documentation
  • Work closely with machining, manufacturing, and suppliers to improve product quality and manufacturability
  • Support costing, quoting, testing, and continuous improvement projects
  • Assist with hands-on troubleshooting, prototype builds, and production support activities

Required Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related technical field
  • Experience with 3D CAD software such as Inventor, SolidWorks, or Creo
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of machining/manufacturing processes
  • Experience supporting product development, engineering changes, costing, or quoting
  • Exposure to hydraulics, pneumatics, actuators, or other heavy mechanical systems is a plus
