Job description

Overview

Lewis Brisbois, a national full service AmLaw 100 law firm, is seeking a Procurement Manager for our Chicago, IL office. The Procurement Manager serves as the procurement lead for the firm and helps oversee the organization's purchasing strategy, ensuring all goods and services are acquired at the best possible balance of cost, quality, and reliability. This role builds and manages vendor relationships, manages the contract database, works with department leads to assist in negotiations, and partners with internal teams to streamline procurement workflows and support operational and strategic goals.

The ideal candidate brings deep experience in professional services, along with strong leadership, communication, and changemanagement capabilities.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities

  • Manage the endtoend procurement lifecycle, including sourcing, bidding, vendor selection, contract negotiation, and purchase order execution.
  • Develop and execute the company's procurement strategy, aligning purchasing decisions with organizational goals.
  • Evaluate and onboard suppliers, maintaining strong ongoing relationships and monitoring performance through KPIs.
  • Collaborate with crossfunctional partners (Legal, Finance, IT, Operations, etc.) to forecast needs, consolidate purchasing power, and ensure compliance.
  • Identify costsaving opportunities through strategic sourcing, process improvements, and vendor optimization.
  • Track market trends, pricing, and supply chain risks to inform decisionmaking.
  • Oversee procurement policies, documentation, and systems to ensure accuracy, transparency, and audit readiness.
  • Resolve supplier issues, delivery challenges, and quality concerns in a timely manner.
  • Prepare and present procurement reports, budget analysis, and recommendations to leadership.
