                                                                                          Senior Energy Procurement Manager




Role Summary

The Senior Energy Procurement Manager will serve as the execution backbone of electricity and natural gas procurement activities. This role is responsible for translating market strategy into disciplined, repeatable execution while supporting revenue growth, margin protection, and scalable processes.

This position partners closely with the Director of Energy Procurement and works cross-functionally with Sales and Sales Support teams.


Core Responsibilities

Procurement Execution

· Lead end-to-end electricity and natural gas RFP processes for commercial and industrial clients

· Normalize and analyze supplier pricing across terms, products, and structures

· Evaluate and recommend procurement strategies aligned to client risk tolerance and objectives

· Support complex deal structures (fixed, block/index, collars, layered hedges)

· Ensure pricing accuracy, auditability, and documentation rigor

Market & Portfolio Strategy

· Monitor power and gas market fundamentals and pricing trends

· Provide actionable market guidance internally and for client-facing discussions

· Support portfolio-level procurement planning across similar client segments

Process & Playbook Development

· Build standardized procurement models, templates, and workflows

· Develop internal procurement playbooks and execution guidelines

· Train sales and support teams on procurement guardrails and best practices in coordination with the Director of Energy Procurement

Margin & Risk Management

· Identify margin risks early in the deal lifecycle

· Support post-deal review and pricing outcome analysis

· Partner with leadership to continuously improve deal quality and consistency


Qualifications

Required

· 7–12 years of experience in electricity and/or natural gas procurement

· Background at an energy advisory firm, broker, retailer, or similar organization

· Deep understanding of procurement products and risk structures

· Strong analytical skills; advanced Excel proficiency

· Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly

Preferred

· Experience supporting CRE and/or C&I portfolios

· Exposure to portfolio or programmatic procurement strategies

· Prior involvement in scaling procurement processes or teams
