Job Description:
At Regions, the Solar Finance Associate works as part of the Equipment Finance Solar Tax Equity origination team and serves as the primary analytical and execution support for bankers in the origination and management of solar finance projects. This role works across the organization and with third-party consultants and experts in delivering the solar tax equity product to customers.
Primary Responsibilities
  • Conducts extensive financial and industry due diligence to evaluate the risk/return parameters of a transaction
  • Ensures a high quality of client deliverables
  • Prepares written materials, including pitches, proposals, client materials, and associated supporting analyses
  • Maintains proprietary databases through monitoring news, current events, transactions, and financial information for clients, prospects, and other industry participants
  • Understands client needs and identifies Regions' products and services, or other actionable ideas, to help clients achieve goals
  • Provides expert service, with a high sense of urgency, in the coordination between the coverage team of bankers and partners to ensure alignment with the team's mission of delivering the whole bank to the client with speed, certainty, and creativity
  • Supports the Solar Finance team with call planning coordination, production/pipeline management, and ensuring quality reporting across all sales performance applications and measurement systems
  • Works on multiple projects, both independently and as part of a team

This position is exempt from timekeeping requirements under the Fair Labor Standards Act and is not eligible for overtime pay.
This position is incentive eligible.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field with a proven record of high achievement
  • Two (2) years of related experience performing detailed financial analyses in a corporate banking role or similar position with a renewable energy company

Preferences
  • Experience in tax equity and/or energy project finance transactions
  • Strong knowledge of tax equity and debt structures in the renewable energy space

Skills and Competencies
  • Ability to assume a substantial amount of responsibility
  • Ability to exercise good judgment and be a self-starter
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Ability to work in a team environment when applicable

Pay ranges are job specific and are provided as a point-of-market reference for compensation decisions. Other factors which directly impact pay for individual associates include: experience, skills, knowledge, contribution, job location and, most importantly, performance in the job role. As these factors vary by individuals, pay will also vary among individual associates within the same job.
The target information listed below is based on the Metropolitan Statistical Area Market Range for where the position is located and level of the position.
