Job Title: Process TechnicianJob Description

The Process Technician plays a key role in optimizing manufacturing processes, supporting production teams, and ensuring efficient component flow for new and existing product builds. This position collaborates closely with quality, materials, engineering, and supervisory teams to improve workstation layouts, document standard work, and support new model launches. The role requires strong technical aptitude, leadership, and the ability to work with complex 3D models and manufacturing systems to maintain a high-performing, lean production environment.

Responsibilities
  • Work with the quality team to document check backs and ensure accurate process verification.
  • Set up broadcast communications to provide clear instructions and respond to queries that generate pick lists of unique component parts for pilot builds.
  • Collaborate with materials and production teams to manage component flow according to effectivity dates.
  • Participate actively in VIP Program initiatives and Kaizen events to drive continuous improvement.
  • Partner with supervisors and group leads to make incremental improvements in workstation layouts, tooling, and overall ergonomics.
  • Work with complex 3D models of multiple integrated systems to support process design and documentation.
  • Perform on-line process interpretation and provide training assistance to production personnel.
  • Collaborate with the Lean team and manufacturing engineering to support line balancing and efficiency improvements.
  • Partner with design engineering teams on new model launches and address BOM tracking concerns.
  • Conduct time studies to identify and resolve workflow problems and bottlenecks.
  • Perform tasks assigned by manufacturing engineers to support ongoing process development and improvement.
  • Work diligently to maintain the production schedule and support on-time delivery goals.
  • Assist other process technicians with technical tasks and process-related challenges.
  • Complete required training and certifications in a timely manner.
  • Support the training and development of other process technicians by sharing knowledge and best practices.
  • Provide technical support to supervisors and engineers on process-related issues and improvements.
  • Create visual work instructions (VWIs) using 3D CAD tools to guide production operations.
  • Document standard work using systems such as ProPlanner and PINPoint to ensure consistency and repeatability.
  • Sequence all parts to the correct operation sequence to maintain proper build order and quality.
  • Set up routings for all new models and enter labor standards in alignment with manufacturing engineering requirements.
  • Configure component verification scanning systems and troubleshoot issues that arise in production.
  • Support systems-related activities and process improvement initiatives across the manufacturing environment.

Pay and Benefits
