Boyd Thermal by Eaton is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Process Engineer at our Woburn, MA facility. Boyd Corporation, a prominent aerospace and defense component manufacturing company, is renowned for its expertise in producing high-performance Aluminum Vacuum Brazed Heat Exchangers and Cold Plates. With a commitment to innovation and precision engineering, Boyd Corporation is a leader in providing cutting-edge solutions to the aerospace and defense industries.

Process Optimization:

  • Lead the development and optimization of manufacturing processes for Aluminum Vacuum Brazed Heat Exchangers and Cold Plates.

  • Identify opportunities for efficiency improvements, cost reduction, and enhanced product quality.

New Product Introduction:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless introduction of new products into the manufacturing process.

  • Develop and implement robust processes for new product manufacturing, ensuring scalability and efficiency.

Quality and Reliability:

  • Work closely with the Quality Manager to ensure that manufacturing processes meet or exceed industry standards and customer requirements.

  • Implement and monitor process controls to enhance product quality and reliability.

Asset and Factory Management:

  • Manage Maintenance department

  • Track and Improve equipment Uptime using FIXX software

  • Attend Tier II and Tier III meetings to drive continuous improvement.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Drive a culture of continuous improvement, encouraging the identification and implementation of process enhancements.

  • Collaborate with teams to analyze key performance indicators and implement data-driven improvements.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Work closely with design engineering and production teams to ensure alignment between product design and manufacturing capabilities.

  • Provide engineering support to resolve production-related issues.

Training and Development:

  • Train and mentor process engineering team members, ensuring a skilled and capable workforce.

  • Develop and implement training programs to enhance the overall capabilities of the manufacturing team.

Safety and Compliance:

  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and best practices in all manufacturing processes.

  • Collaborate with the Health and Safety team to maintain a safe working environment.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.

  • Proven experience in process engineering within the aerospace and defense industry, with a focus on aluminum vacuum brazing and machining.

  • Strong knowledge of heat exchanger and cold plate manufacturing processes.

  • Experience with process optimization, lean manufacturing, and continuous improvement methodologies.

  • Familiarity with relevant industry standards and specifications.

  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.

  • Proficiency in project management and cross-functional collaboration.

  • Prior experience with manufacturing technologies and equipment for aluminum vacuum brazing and machining is preferred.
