About the RoleAre you seeking an opportunity to be on the cutting edge of technology?  Join a dedicated team enabling new technology to develop and provide process integration in a pre-production environment.   As a Process Engineer, you will be part of a team to provide development support for onsite installations and process integration of photolithography semiconductor equipment primarily in the Portland, Oregon area.   You may receive training in Texas, Oregon or Japan for a period of 1-3 months.Your Impact- Work in a team to support Canon equipment process qualification, process development, improvement projects and integration projects with Canon and the customer - Provide a support role in establishing a new wafer fabrication process technology for semiconductor device manufacturing - Run tests, analyze, summarize, and present data and conclusions - Collaborate with experts from various teams to improve the manufacturing process - Perform evaluations on new hardware and software - Identify issues and work with the Canon team for resolution - Prepare reports and presentations for internal  review - Interact with customer with limited supervision. About You: The Skills & Expertise You BringBachelor's degree in an engineering discipline required, lus 3-5 years of related experience or a Master's degree in the field.   - Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline required, plus 3-5 years of related experience or a Master's degree in the field.  - Experience or knowledge in optical, lasers, software, robotics, precision mechanical skills or chemicals are required - Hands on photolithography experience is preferred - Knowledge of Linux operating system is preferred for operating and troubleshooting the system - Hands on mechanical skills are preferred. - Hands on experience with electronic testing tools required - Able to work on equipment alone and work with other engineers as a team player under challenging situations - Excellent trouble shooting skills, verbal and written communication skills - Customer support experience is a plus - Must be able to travel and work flexible schedules - Must feel comfortable working in a cleanroom environment most of the day (wearing full clean room suit, facemask, gloves, safety glasses) - May require domestic travel (valid driver's license and acceptable driving record necessary). Additionally, because this position requires driving for company business as an essential function of the job, must remain in compliance with company safety guidelines and policies. - Position requires continuous physical effort; intermittent and long-term work cycles; standing, walking, sitting, repetitive motion, and lifting up to 25 pounds unassisted. Lifting more than 25 lbs requires additional help. Employee may be required to work at a computer terminal for long periods of time. Employee will be able to hear and understand speech at normal levels and on the telephone. Position requires effective communication skills, verbal and written form. Mental alertness is a must. Employee is required to demonstrate continued knowledge of Haz/Com regulations and requirements. Must be able to work in a cleanroom environment, this includes wearing protective clothing.
