Heeter is hiring for a 2nd shift (3 pm โ€“ 11 pm) Print Production Supervisor to lead and manage 2nd shift operations to ensure production goals, quality standards and safety protocols are met. This role requires a blend of printing expertise and leadership to manage shifts that often have less direct oversight from upper management.

SPECIFIC DUTIES:

  • Oversee day-to-day activities to meet output, quality, and delivery goals.
  • Conduct daily turnover sessions with incoming and outgoing supervisors to review schedules, equipment status, and "hot" jobs.
  • Supervise, train, and mentor hourly production employees while managing performance evaluations and disciplinary actions.
  • Visually inspect work in progress and finished products to ensure they meet established print standards and customer specifications.
  • Enforce adherence to safety policies, OSHA standards, and environmental guidelines.
  • Monitor machinery for unusual sounds or malfunctions, overseeing daily preventive maintenance and coordinating with maintenance teams for repairs.
  • Maintain accurate production logs, track inventory/material usage, and manage labor hours or overtime.




KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

  • Mechanically inclined with previous experience making production decisions in a print environment. Knowledge in various technical environments of digital print, offset, bindery, mailing and inserting and fulfillment desired.
  • Demonstrated work ethic with the ability to work quickly and efficiently managing a very fast paced machine environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to Supervise in a manufacturing environment with a positive, supportive and professional manner that leads others to perform.
  • Willingness and availability to occasionally travel to other production locations.

ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Standing up to 8 hours per day
  • Lift/Pull up to 35 lbs often, 50 lbs occasionally
  • Manufacturing facility with constant noise from machines running
  • Ability to read and distinguish small print, depth perception, color perception
  • Must be able to pass a background and drug test

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday 3 pm โ€“ 11 pm
  • Overtime and Weekends as needed
