Job Title: Pre-Make Ready Technician
Reports To: Printing Supervisor

Position Overview:
The Pre-Make Ready position is responsible for managing all printing plates used across the facility, ensuring they are properly prepared, maintained, and accessible for upcoming jobs. This position performs all tasks as directed by the Printing Department Supervisor and Manager.
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Familiar with printing production environment and process.
  • Prep production sleeve following standard work procedures.
  • Manage sleeve inventory by locating, inspecting, stripping and ordering plates for specific jobs.
  • Communicate with design department to obtain artwork for sleeves.
  • Manage factory orders by referring to paper supplement on job.
  • Prep cylinders for production run.
  • Manage Anilox Rollers amp; Inventory by cleaning, inspecting and sending for remakes.
  • Checks plates identification for replacement.
Job Specifications:
  1. Ability to use automatic plate mounter.
  2. Ability to use Anilox laser cleaner.
  3. Ability to use plate demounter.
  4. Ability to use Radius for print flow.
  5. Ability to keep work area organized.
  6. Ability to use hand truck and forklift.
Education / Experience:
High School diploma or GED equivalent is preferred but not required.
Communication Skills / Requirements:
Must be able to effectively communicate verbally and in writing with management, peers and other employees. Have active listening skills, attention to detail and follow-through. Must demonstrate tact, professionalism, teamwork, flexibility, an organized approach to work and a positive attitude.
Safety:
All duties to be performed in compliance with company guidelines, safety policy and 6s standards.
PPE: MUST WEAR Hearing Protection and safety glasses in all areas. Must only use a safety knife with cut proof gloves.
