Job SummaryReporting to the Deputy Commissioner of Water Supply, with direction from the Water Operations Coordinator, the Principal Clerk will support Water Department functions in an administrative and clerical role, ensuring the efficient operation of department activities through oversight of records, correspondence, billing, and customer service functions. Will be responsible for maintaining accurate and organized departmental files, processing water service applications and payments, and assisting in the preparation of reports and budgets. The Principal Clerk acts as a liaison between the public and departmental staff, handling inquiries, complaints, and service requests with professionalism and attention to detail. This role requires strong organizational skills, familiarity with utility billing software, and a solid understanding of municipal operations and public service protocols. Additionally, this position shall assist in general office duties and perform related work as requested by the Water Operations Coordinator.
