POSITION OVERVIEW

The Private Equity Analyst Intern is responsible for compiling, analyzing, interpreting, and presenting data about processes and results to support and enhance business performance & ensure the current and future profitability. This position will also focus on cost savings initiatives, process analysis, and supporting some accounting projects.

This position requires a thorough understanding of financial and accounting principles. Ability to collaborate well with others, focus on continuous improvement, and a strong desire to analyze, investigate, and resolve issues based on root cause analysis. A strong critical thinking mindset and being self-motivated to manage risk and maximize opportunities for the business are key success factors.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Provide analytical, forecasting, reporting, and project support to the CFO for the businesses

  • Support and manage bid processes through data collection, analysis, and reporting, while coordinating with the other departments involved in the bid and pricing processes

  • Produce reports which include key metrics, financial results, and variance analysis

  • Assist in identifying opportunities for performance improvement across the organization

  • Develop models that help with decision-making

  • Ensure compliance with internal controls

  • Reliable and committed to consistently meeting deadlines

  • Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and interpersonal skills

  • High degree of professionalism expected

  • Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Analysis, and Financial Risk Specialist and pursuing an MBA

  • Strong demonstrated organization capabilities

  • Strong demonstrated analytical capabilities

  • Strong demonstrated written and verbal communication skills

  • Demonstrated ability to manage effectively through ambiguous, unstructured problems

  • Extremely high curiosity and ability to effectively evaluate multiple, competing viewpoints simultaneously
