Job description

Precision millwrights are skilled professionals who specialize in the installation, maintenance, and repair of high-precision machinery and equipment such as turbines, pumps, conveyors, and robotic systems. They possess a strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems and are adept at interpreting technical specifications and blueprints. A precision millwright's role is essential in ensuring that these precision machines operate efficiently and safely.
Responsibilities:
  • Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair precision machinery and equipment
  • Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints
  • Use Precision tool and instruments to measure and align machinery
  • Perform preventative maintenance on equipment to minimize downtime
  • Collaborate with other maintenance personnel to ensure smooth operation of the facility
  • Identify and order necessary replacement parts and supplies
  • Train and oversee apprentices and other junior millwrights
  • Adhere to all safety regulations and guidelines while performing job duties

Requirements:
  • Minimum of 3 years experience as a precision millwright
  • Strong understanding of mechanical systems and equipment
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawing and schematics
  • Knowledge of precision tools, including micrometers, calipers, and dial indicators
  • Proficiency in welding and fabrication techniques
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot machinery issues

Required Skills/Licenses/Certifications
  • Valid driver's license to operate motor vehicles.
  • Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals
  • Add and subtract two-digit numbers and multiply and divide with 10's and 100's, ability to perform these operations using unit weight measurements and volumes.
  • Ability to calculate rate, ratios and percentages
  • Apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written or oral form
  • Workers should be able to work within precise standards of accuracy and follow set procedures and standards

$33-$36+ Depending on experience
