Job description

Our client is seeking an experienced Industrial Millwright to maintain, troubleshoot, and rebuild critical mechanical equipment used in a high‑demand, safety‑sensitive production environment. This role supports mill operations and ensures reliable performance of crushers, conveyors, slurry pumps, and milling equipment.


The site is located within driving distance of the Thousand Islands, Lake Ontario shoreline, the Adirondack Mountains, and major Canadian cities such as Ottawa and Montreal.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate maintenance and repair records.
  • Collaborate with mill operations crews to support continuous production.
  • Follow MSHA and site safety procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Use diagnostic tools, hand tools, and industrial maintenance equipment safely and effectively.
  • Perform welding, metal fabrication, and pipe‑fitting work to support equipment repairs and installations.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to complete mechanical work accurately.
  • Work a standard Monday–Friday schedule with flexibility for breakdowns, troubleshooting, or project work.
  • Rebuild, troubleshoot, and return equipment to production‑ready condition during planned and unplanned outages.
  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on mineral‑processing equipment including: Cone and Jaw Crushers, Crusher Screens, Conveyor Belts, Rollers, and Drive Units, Industrial Slurry Pumps and Rod and Ball Mill Components (if experienced)

Qualifications (Must-Haves)

  • All education levels considered.
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States.
  • Strong welding, fabrication, and pipe‑fitting skills.
  • Physical ability to lift, move, and work with heavy equipment.
  • Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
  • Strong mechanical troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills.
  • Ability to safely use hand tools, welding equipment, and diagnostic tools.
  • Ability to perform safety‑sensitive work without posing a direct threat to self or others.
  • Direct experience maintaining and rebuilding crushers, conveyors, slurry pumps, and related mechanical systems.
  • 5+ years of hands‑on industrial millwright or heavy‑process maintenance experience, ideally in mining, aggregates, cement, pulp & paper, or mineral processing.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with rod and ball milling equipment.
  • Prior mining or mineral‑processing experience.
  • Completion of a millwright apprenticeship or technical/trade program.
  • Familiarity with MSHA safety practices or equivalent industrial safety training.

Work Environment:

  • Full‑time onsite role in a heavy‑industrial mining/milling environment.
