Job description

We are seeking a highly skilled, versatile tradesperson to join our team as a full-time Millwright/Welder/Fitter. This position requires an exceptional combination of welding expertise, precision fabrication skills, millwright capabilities, and hands-on leadership. The ideal candidate is a self-motivated professional who can execute complex projects with minimal supervision while maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety.


Responsibilities

Welding & Fabrication

·       Perform expert-level welding using Stick (SMAW), TIG (GTAW), and MIG (GMAW) processes on ferrous and nonferrous metals.

·       Execute sanitary pipe fitting and welding to food-grade and pharmaceutical standards (preferred but not required)

·       Perform process pipe fitting and welding for industrial applications (preferred but not required)

·       Structural steel welding and fabrication for building and equipment support systems

·       Production machine repair through welding and fabrication

·       Highly skilled metal layout work and precision fabrication

·       Custom fabrication projects requiring advanced problem-solving skills

Millwright Duties

·       Precision alignment of rotating equipment using dial indicators, laser alignment tools, and other precision instruments

·       Rigging and safe moving of heavy machinery and equipment

·       Repair and maintenance of power transmission systems, including gearboxes, chains, and belt drives

·       Bearing replacement, shaft alignment, and coupling installation

·       Conveyor system installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting

·       Read and accurately use precision measurement tools, including micrometers, dial indicators, and calipers

Pipe Fitting (Preferred but not required)

·       Sanitary pipe fitting for food processing, pharmaceutical, and beverage industries

·       Process piping for chemical, mining, and industrial applications

·       Pipe layout, cutting, threading, and installation

·       Hydraulic and pneumatic system installation and repair

Additional Construction Tasks

·       Commercial and industrial remodeling projects

·       Concrete work including forming, finishing, and repair

·       Earthwork and site preparation

·       Operation of excavators, skid steers, and other earth-moving equipment

·       General construction support as needed

Qualifications

Physical Requirements

·       Must be able to consistently lift 75 lbs.

·       Must be able to stoop, kneel, crouch, climb, and crawl as required

·       Must be able to push and pull heavy materials and equipment

·       Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces

·       Physical capability to work in various positions for extended periods

·       Stamina to work full shifts in demanding industrial environments

·       Ability to work in all weather conditions

Technical Skills

·       Proficiency in Stick (SMAW), TIG (GTAW), and MIG (GMAW) welding processes

·       Demonstrated ability to read and use precision measuring instruments (micrometers, dial indicators, calipers)

·       Strong understanding of metallurgy and appropriate welding procedures for various materials

·       Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings

·       Basic computer skills for documentation and communication

Safety & Compliance

·       Must agree and conform to the company safety and health policies

·       Comprehensive knowledge of OSHA and MSHA safety regulations, with consistent adherence
