Position: Field Service Millwright
Location: Marriotesville, MD
SIGN-ON BONUS
ASGCO engineers, manufactures, and distributes a wide array of conveyor and screening components, all specifically designed for the above-ground and underground mining, aggregate, cement, recycling, bulk shipping terminals, pulp and paper, food processing and other bulk material handling industries. We focus on providing exceptional products and service to our customers with the best solutions to their conveyor and screening material handling applications.
We are looking for Field Service Millwright to install, service and repair conveyor belts and components, motors and who have experience on Industrial jobsites, including Aggregate, Asphalt, Bulk Shipping Terminals, Ready-mix, Quarries and other types of Industrial / Manufacturing plants. We provide in house training programs for advancement. Any construction or millwright type jobs including steel fabrication, welding, proper rigging techniques and any conveyor experience is a plus. Job Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Perform field service visits to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain industrial equipment
  • Utilize welding skills for fabrication and repair tasks
  • Apply mechanical knowledge to diagnose and resolve equipment issues
  • Conduct regular maintenance tasks to ensure optimal equipment performance
  • Communicate effectively with customers to provide quality service
  • Collaborate with team members to coordinate service schedules and tasks
  • Operate a company vehicle
  • Other responsibilities as seen fit by management
  • Comply with Employee Handbook

Requirements:
  • MSHA Surface and/or Underground Miner Qualification preferred
  • Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation to ASGCO
  • Regular and punctual attendance
  • Ability to travel, occasionally overnight
  • Strong Verbal and Written Communication Skills
  • Must be able to work safely and effectively as part of a team or independently
  • Job duties will be performed underground and on surface, those interested must be able to obtain all applicable Federal and State underground and surface certifications; successfully complete industry approved training courses.
  • Must be able to work overtime, weekends and holidays as needed or as schedule requires
  • Candidates must pass a background check, drug screen and other job requirements
  • Can lift up to 100lbs, bending, kneeling, reaching and standing for long periods of time, significant fine finger dexterity
  • High school diploma or equivalent

Working Conditions:
  • Work is performed in various industrial settings and environments, including shop, mining, and construction which may include exposure to extremes in temperature and humidity, moving mechanical parts, risk of electrical shock, toxic chemicals, fumes or airborne particles.
  • While performing the duties of this job, you will be required to stand, sit, demonstrate manual dexterity, climb stairs and ladders, work on elevated platforms, talk, hear and see.
  • Occasionally may be required to lift moderately heavy objects (up to 100 pounds) during the workday
  • Personal protective equipment is required on a regular basis, including hard hat, hearing protection, safety glasses, safety footwear, and as needed, respirator, gloves and other required protective equipment as required.
