  • Follows plant safety procedures and guidelines; wears andย utilizesย personal protective equipment (PPE) asย required.ย ย 
  • Informsย supervisor of safety issues; reports any workplace injury or incidentย immediately.ย ย 
  • Follows plant quality practices including Good Manufacturing Practices, or GMPโ€™s.ย ย 

Tasksย 

  • Monitors andย maintainsย scheduled production and leads team to achieve planned schedule attainment goalsย 
  • Coordinates troubleshooting efforts so that machine efficiency can be maximizedย 
  • Manages labor costs by maximizing employee productivityย 
  • Makes recommendations toย Maintenance Managerย to improve production efficienciesย 
  • Conducts technical training and mentoring of technicians and other employeesย 
  • Prioritizes and follows-up on designated maintenance activitiesย 
  • Communicates and updates other supervisors and managers on productivity of teamย 
  • Assistsย Maintenanceย  Managerย in the development, implementation, and monitoring of PM program across all areas of the manufacturing plantย 
  • Directly supervises a team of Maintenance Techniciansย 
  • Carries out supervisory responsibilitiesย in accordance withย the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems; conducts operator testing asย requiredย 
  • Communicates daily with other supervisors, Local Supply/Demand Chain Group, andย Maintenance Managerย ย 
  • Coordinates withย Maintenanceย  Manager, the planning and work of special projects, machine modifications, and installationsย 
  • Assistsย Maintenanceย  Managerย in monitoring, and controlling unnecessary expenses, as well asย maintainย adequate inventories of stock materials/spare partsย ย 
  • Maintains Work Order database;ย maintainsย machine histories and logsย 
  • Balances and coordinates resources by assigning work, employee training activities, employee time-off, overtime, back-up for absent employees, and shift rotationsย 
  • Monitors and reports compliance to policies/budgets/key performance indicatorsย 
  • Verifies andย validatesย that work areas are cleaned and organized at end of shiftย 
  • Other assignments and tasks as directed byย Maintenanceย  Managerย 

ย Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in related maintenance activities, with at least 1 to 3 years in a supervisory capacityย 
  • Mustย maintainย a valid driverโ€™s licenseย ย 
  • Mentoring abilitiesย ย 
  • Highly motivated, energetic, and enthusiastic; must be driven to keep busyย 
  • Ability to work in team environment and communicate information to other employeesย 
  • Understand concepts of plastic manufacturing processย
