Job description

Wealth Management's Portfolio Solutions & Research Support (PSRS) team operates as a middle office function supporting research and investment processes for strategies managed by the MultiAsset Solutions team across fixed income, equity, alternatives, index strategies, and currency. PSRS ensures the accuracy of research inputs, investment decision making, and tradeflow processes across front and middleoffice systems. 

As a Portfolio Solutions & Research Support Associate on the Wealth Management team, you will oversee risk and control routines, business analysis, reporting, and strategic projects, partnering closely with Advisors, Portfolio Managers, Product Specialists, Compliance, Fund Administrators, and Technology.  You will focus on automation of front office tools and processes that have been developed by Portfolio Managers, Risk and Trade Implementation Teams. The role requires a strong understanding of investment products, risk concepts, and investment terminology, along with technical skills to drive process automation.

Job responsibilities 

Execute daily trading operations efficiently, ensuring timely and accurate trade execution while collaborating with traders and team members to resolve discrepancies. 

Monitor and reconcile trading accounts to maintain accuracy, driving the development and implementation of process improvements for enhanced operational efficiency. 

Prepare and analyze trading reports for management review, actively participating in team meetings and contributing to strategic discussions. 

 Assist in training and mentoring junior team members, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented environment. 

 Manage ad-hoc projects and tasks as assigned, demonstrating adaptability and a proactive approach to addressing emerging needs.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Excellent communication skills; ability to articulate complex issues.
  • Process automation skills, intermediate to expert level coding skills including Python, SQL, VBA.
  • Strong sense of prioritization, urgency and execution.
  • Desire to drive process changes and efficiencies in a growing business area. 
  • Strong understanding of investment products.
  • Ability to build partnerships with Business and Technology stakeholders.

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Scripting Languages (Python / SQL / MS Access).

  • Experience with intelligent automation tools (e.g., Alteryx, Xceptor, Signavio).

  • Data visualization experience (e.g., Tableau, Streamlit).

  • CFA candidate or relevant progress in professional investment certifications.
