Position Overview
Three Rivers Trucking, a motor carrier division of Cargomatic, is seeking an experienced Terminal Operations Manager to lead and oversee day-to-day operations for our terminal.

This role is critical in driving operational excellence across drayage and port-centric logistics while ensuring safety, compliance, and exceptional customer service. You will lead terminal operations, optimize performance, and play a key role in scaling Cargomatic's presence in the market.

We are looking for a proactive, hands-on leader with deep knowledge of port operations, containerized freight, and terminal processes.

What You'll Do

Terminal Operations Leadership

  • Accountable for safe operations that meet regulatory requirements
  • Maintain and grow capacity to meet market demand
  • Oversee all daily terminal and drayage operations
  • Control costs across drivers, terminals, and chassis while maximizing revenue
  • Ensure efficient container movement, dispatching, yard flow, and coordination with port terminals and partners
  • Optimize processes to reduce dwell time and improve service performance

Team Management & Development

  • Lead, mentor, and develop terminal staff (dispatchers, clerks, yard personnel)
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement
  • Manage staffing levels, scheduling, and performance

Customer Service & Relationships

  • Deliver high customer satisfaction through communication, accuracy, and proactive issue resolution
  • Build and maintain relationships with customers, port authorities, carriers, and internal teams

Operational Performance & KPIs

  • Establish and track key performance indicators
  • Analyze operational data to identify trends and improvement opportunities
  • Provide reporting and insights to leadership

Safety, Compliance & Regulatory Oversight

  • Ensure compliance with DOT, OSHA, FMCSA, and port authority requirements
  • Implement and enforce safety protocols

Resource & Asset Management

  • Allocate personnel and equipment efficiently
  • Oversee utilization and maintenance of trucks, chassis, and yard assets

Strategic Support & Growth

  • Support regional expansion and market growth initiatives
  • Lead or assist with new customer launches and operational scaling
  • Identify opportunities for process and technology improvements

What You Bring

Required

  • Must have extensive experience managing a trucking terminal, port drayage, and intermodal operations planning loads and driver capacity
  • Strong leadership and team development skills
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
  • Knowledge of transportation regulations, port procedures, and safety standards
  • Experience with TMS/WMS systems
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Preferred

  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related field
  • Experience with P&L ownership or operational budgeting

Compensation
The expected salary range for this role is $120,000 – $145,000, depending on experience, skills, location, and other job-related factors. This position may also be eligible for performance-based incentives.
