Roleย 

The Port Operations Analyst plays a key role in supporting the efficiency, performance, and cost management of port and shoreside operations for Margaritaville at Sea. As part of the Operations team, this position leveragesย dataย and analytics toย optimizeย port activities, enhance turnaround performance, and support a seamless guest experience.ย The analyst translates operational data into actionable insights, supporting decision-making related to port performance, vendor management, scheduling, and continuous improvement initiatives.ย 

Responsibilitiesย 

  • Operational Performance Monitoring:ย Analyze day-to-day port operations, including vessel turnaround times, embarkation and debarkation efficiency, and on-time departures, toย identifyย performance gaps and improvement opportunities.ย 

  • Turnaround & Throughput Optimization:ย Evaluate port throughput, passenger flow, and resourceย utilizationย to support efficient vessel turnarounds and enhance the overall guest experience.ย 

  • Cost Management & Analysis:ย Review and analyze port-related expenses, including labor, terminal services, and vendor contracts, toย identifyย cost-saving opportunities and ensure budget adherence.ย 

  • ย Vendor & Partner Performance Management:ย Track and evaluate the performance of port vendors, terminal operators, and service providers to ensure service level expectations, contractual obligations, and operational standards are met.ย 

  • Reporting & Dashboard Development:ย Develop andย maintainย operational reports and dashboards that track key performance indicators (KPIs), providing stakeholders with visibility into port operations performance and trends.ย 

  • Process Improvement & Efficiency Initiatives:ย Identify, recommend, and support the implementation of process improvements to streamline operations, reduce delays, and enhance service delivery.ย 

  • Scheduling & Operational Planning Support:ย Assist with port scheduling, berth planning, and resource coordination to ensure operational readiness and alignment with vessel itineraries.ย 

  • Cross-Functional Coordination:ย Collaborate with Marine Operations, Guest Services, Safety, and Finance teams, as well as port authorities, to align operational execution with organizational goals.ย 

  • Risk Identification & Issue Resolution:ย Monitorย operational risks and disruptions,ย provideย data-driven insights to support mitigation strategies, andย assistย in resolving issuesย impactingย port performance.ย 

  • Compliance & Standards Monitoring:ย Support adherence to regulatory requirements, safety protocols, and company operational standards through data tracking and performance review.ย 

  • Ad Hoc Analysis & Special Projects:ย Conduct ad hoc analysis and support special projects, including new port launches, operational changes, and strategic initiatives.ย 

  • Data Integrity & Quality Assurance:ย Ensure the accuracy, consistency, and reliability of operational data used in reporting and decision-making processes.ย 

  • Additional Responsibilities:ย Perform other duties and special projects as assigned to support evolving operational needs and organizational priorities.ย 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, Maritime Studies, Operations Management, or a related field isrequired.

Experience:

  • 2-4+ years of experience in operations analysis,logistics, maritime operations, port operations, ora related field. Experience in the cruise, shipping, or transportation industry is preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Strong understanding of port operations,logistics, and terminal processes

  • Knowledge of operational performance metrics, including turnaround times and throughput efficiency

  • Ability to analyze operational data andidentifytrends, risks, and improvement opportunities

  • Advancedproficiencyin Microsoft Excel, including data analysis, pivot tables, and reporting

  • Experience with business intelligence and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) preferred

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on operational efficiency and cost control

  • Ability to manage and interpret large datasets witha high levelof accuracy and attention to detail

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present insights to diverse audiences

  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment

  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external partners, including vendors and port authorities

  • Working knowledge of vendor management, contract performance, and service level expectations

Physical Demands: Must be able to remain in a stationary position at a desk and/or computer for extended periods of time.

Travel:Thisrole requires periodic travel, including time onboard company cruise ship vessels, to supportthe operationand gain operational insight.

Work Conditions:Work primarily in a climate-controlled environment with minimal safety/health hazard potential.

This position is classified as "in-person." Which means the physical office is in Orlando.
