Job Summary

The Enterprise PMO Manager will be responsible for standing up a formal PMO (Project Management Office) with an emphasis on governance and coordination. They will create and manage a portfolio of projects to ensure they collectively support the organization's strategic objectives. This position will ensure that all projects deliver maximum value, align with enterprise goals and are executed efficiently.

What You'll Do...

  • PMO Development: As a means of continuous improvement, this role will develop and evolve portfolio management best practices, tools, and reporting to drive efficiency and value realization through a formal PMO discipline.
  • Portfolio Management & Governance: Creates and manages portfolio management framework that ensures all projects have completed project charters, dependency plans, financial templates, roadmaps, RACI, governance and risk registers. Works closely with CIO and business leaders to prioritize initiatives.
  • Strategic Planning & Intake Management: Define the portfolio vision and scope, evaluate and select projects based on strategic fit, ROI, and organizational priorities. Ensure clear evaluation criteria and process is used to align priorities and resources.
  • Methodology and Process Implementation: Develop and enforce project management methodologies, governance structures and phase-gate processes as required.
  • Risk & Issue Management: Identify, monitor, and mitigate risks across the portfolio, resolving conflicts and dependencies.
  • Business Engagement & Communication: Report portfolio status, outcomes, and strategic impact for portfolio transparency to senior management and stakeholders, including updates in Maestro, to ensure alignment and clarity.
  • Performance Monitoring: Track project progress, evaluate performance metrics, and implement improvement strategies.
  • Budget Oversight: Develop and manage the portfolio budget, ensuring cost-effectiveness and compliance with standards.
  • Available to travel ~ 10%

Requirements

What You'll Bring...

Bachelor's Degree

  • Project Management certification preferred
  • 7+ years leading and supporting multiple and strategic project delivery.
  • Experience in working on projects related to technology and working with developers is a plus
  •  Proven experience in building a PMO strategy and discipline to prioritize initiatives that support an enterprise-wide set of strategic goals
  • Possesses strategic insight and strong leadership capabilities and demonstrates strength in working with cross-functional teams and influencing change without direct authority
  • Experience using portfolio management methodologies and tools, practiced AI proficiency, exceptional with time management
  • Familiarity with Maestro and Power BI is a plus
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to present complex findings to executives, non-technical stakeholders and communicate with a variety of audiences
  • Proactive, self-motivated team player with strong team collaboration skills including reliability, positivity, problem-solving, and respect for diversity
  • Experience in leading virtual meetings and working across multiple departments
  • Comfortable working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment with the ability to remain calm under pressure
  • Strong background in leading process improvement programs preferred, and utilization of Lean-Six is a plus

Essential Functions/Physical Demands

This role requires regular communication, both verbal and written, and frequent use of hands for computer and office equipment. The position may involve occasional standing, walking, or lifting up to 25 pounds. Vision requirements include close and distance vision with the ability to adjust focus. Intermediate to advanced technical aptitude is required.
