Job description

Are you an experienced Project Manager looking for your next exciting opportunity? TailWind Voice & Data is growing, and we're seeking a skilled professional to help lead and deliver successful projects across the country.
As a Project Manager at TailWind, you'll oversee a diverse range of projects-from large-scale cabling and construction to single-site installations. You will be responsible for ensuring that all project tasks are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.


Essential Functions:

  • Project Management: Manage a wide variety of projects, from large-scale cabling, construction, and roll-outs to smaller engagements and repair requests.
  • Design and Execution: Develop and execute detailed project plans, reports, and frameworks to ensure smooth project delivery.
  • Mentorship: Provide guidance and project process frameworks to Jr. Project Managers, ensuring best practices and efficiency.
  • Client Communication: Communicate project updates, scope changes, and issues to clients clearly, professionally, and in a timely manner. Keep internal and external teams informed of project activities.
  • Resource Coordination: Identify, coordinate, and manage the resources necessary to complete each project.
  • Procurement Management: Place and manage orders with suppliers, equipment rental companies, and warehouse for equipment and materials as part of assigned projects.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of dispatches, materials orders, equipment rentals, warehouse orders, and other project-related activities within the TailWind customer management system.
  • Technician Support: Assist with the check-in/check-out process for TailWind's onsite technicians and provide guidance regarding scope of work and other job questions.
  • Deliverables: Ensure project documents are complete, processed, and stored appropriately, and manage deliverables via document management systems.
  • Financial Management: Ensure timely and accurate submittals to finance for customer invoicing.
  • Task Management: Efficiently move between unrelated tasks, prioritize when necessary, and manage time effectively.
  • Travel: Some travel may be involved based on client needs.
  • Hours:This is a full-time position.May involve evening and occasional weekend work.
    Will require long hours.
  • Other Duties: Perform other related duties as assigned by the management team.


Preferred Education and Experience:

  • 3+ years of infrastructure project management experience, especially with large clients.
  • Understanding of the Telecommunications Industry.
  • Hands-on field technician experience is a plus.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team setting.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including late-night cutovers if necessary.
  • Strong customer service orientation and ability to develop and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite of PC tools.
  • Strong work ethic, integrity, and a positive attitude.
  • High energy and the ability to work at a fast pace.

Range of Compensation: $65,000 to $80,000 Annually
