To thrive as a Planner, you need expertise in project management, data analysis, and strategic thinking, often supported by a degree in urban planning, business, or a related field. Familiarity with planning software such as GIS, project management tools, and relevant certifications like AICP (for urban planners) are typically advantageous. Planning professionals play a central role in coordinating with various departments such as engineering, procurement, and project management to align project timelines and resources. This cross-functional teamwork is critical to delivering projects on time and within scope.
