The People Engagement Experience (PEX) is the cord across our People Engagement (PE) experiences made up of forward-thinking UX designers, researchers, writers and design technologists. As a UX Designer on the employee-facing design systems team, you will contribute to design initiatives, including Figma component, pattern, and style libraries. You will work with designers and engineers across multiple organizations to help create and implement components and standards

You will bring a scalable design approach to your work, and consider how to best deliver components, patterns, and templates that scale across products and platforms. You'll be focused on the design details while also understanding the technical requirements to bridge the gap between product and engineering. You'll also explore how AI-powered design tools and intelligent systems can enhance design system workflows and component creation.
To succeed in this role, you must be a self-starter who is eager to learn, collaborate closely with engineering, and contribute to operational excellence

You must be able to succeed in a highly ambiguous, fast-paced environment. Our environment requires the skills to work collaboratively and the commitment to take ownership when needed.
Key job responsibilities
Contribute to the creation and maintenance of components, patterns, and templates for product experiences across desktop, native mobile and more, ensuring they are scalable and accessible
Work closely with designers and engineers to design and implement high-quality, scalable additions to the design system, including components that support AI-powered features
Collaborate with designers to identify opportunities for unifying designs across products, establishing consistency while allowing for flexibility
Create and maintain comprehensive documentation describing the standards and best practices of our component library as a reference for designers, developers, and product teams
Leverage AI-powered design tools to accelerate component creation and documentation while maintaining design quality
Implement and maintain processes for scaling, updating, and managing various parts of a design system
Champion accessibility and inclusive design by ensuring all components meet WCAG standards
Support the design community by sharing knowledge and contributing to design system adoption across teams
A day in the life
You'll contribute to the creation of new components, patterns, and layouts while collaborating with UX designers across organizations to connect individual features into a unified experience. You'll balance hands-on craft with systems thinking, moving between detailed component specifications and understanding how they fit into the larger system architecture

UX Researchers and UX Writers support design in creating reusable experiences. You'll share design work regularly with immediate and customer teams, stakeholders, and leadership, acting as a key member that brings the design community together.
