Personal Injury Litigation Paralegal (Experienced)

Moss Berg Injury Lawyers is seeking an experienced, highly organized, and proactive Personal Injury Litigation Paralegal to join our growing litigation team. This role is ideal for a litigation professional who is confident managing a high-volume caseload, understands plaintiff-side personal injury litigation, and enjoys working closely with attorneys to move cases efficiently from filing through resolution, trial, or appeal.
 
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, self-sufficient, and comfortable handling litigation matters involving arbitration and exempt cases, discovery, depositions, trial preparation, post-trial proceedings, and appeals. This position requires strong communication skills, excellent judgment, and a commitment to delivering exceptional service to clients throughout the litigation process.
 
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 
 
Litigation Case Management
  • Manage plaintiff-side personal injury litigation files from filing through resolution.
  • Assist attorneys during all phases of litigation, including discovery, depositions, arbitration, trial preparation, trial, post-trial proceedings, and appeals.
  • Track and calendar litigation deadlines, hearings, depositions, trial dates, court appearances, and case milestones.
  • Maintain organized electronic case files and ensure the case management system is accurate and up to date.
  • Work closely with attorneys to move cases efficiently toward settlement, arbitration, trial, or other resolution.
 Legal Drafting & Document Preparation
  • Draft, prepare, proofread, and properly format pleadings, discovery, motions, correspondence, exhibits, subpoenas, and other legal documents.
  • Prepare and respond to written discovery.
  • Organize medical records, medical bills, liens, damages documentation, and supporting evidence.
  • Assist with research, writing, and analysis related to litigation strategy and case development.
 Trial & Hearing Preparation
  • Assist with trial preparation, including exhibit lists, witness lists, trial binders, subpoenas, and pretrial documents.
  • Coordinate witnesses, experts, medical providers, and other case participants.
  • Prepare materials for hearings, depositions, arbitrations, mediations, and trial.
  • Support attorneys before, during, and after trial proceedings.
 Communication & Client Service
  • Communicate professionally with clients, adjusters, medical providers, experts, defense counsel, court personnel, and other parties.
  • Provide timely updates to clients and help ensure they understand the litigation process.
  • Follow up consistently with clients, providers, experts, and opposing counsel to keep cases moving forward.
  • Maintain the highest level of professionalism, confidentiality, and client care.
 To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
 
Qualifications:
 
Required
  • Three or more years of litigation experience, preferably in plaintiff-side personal injury.
  • Strong understanding of Nevada Rules of Civil Procedure, civil litigation procedures, and plaintiff litigation workflows.
  • Experience with medical records, billing, liens, damages documentation, and case support materials.
  • Strong legal drafting, proofreading, research, writing, and analytical skills.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a high-volume environment.
  • High level of professionalism, confidentiality, attention to detail, and teamwork.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Experience using a legal case management system.
 
Preferred
  • Paralegal Certificate, Associate Degree in Paralegal Studies, or equivalent legal experience.
  • Nevada Notary Public certification.
  • Plaintiff personal injury trial preparation experience.
  • Experience with arbitration and exempt cases.
